As you are looking at the review for the test, I would spend more time reviewing the stuff on density since we haven't looked at for a while. I feel that you are all very prepared for the material on atomic structure, so come into the test with confidence.
Your assignment today is to learn how to calculate density and to find good "textbook" definitions of our Physical Science Academic Vocabulary words. You have been given the worksheet below in class. Read through it's notes and listen to any of the videos that are posted below so that you have a better understanding of the lesson. The items below are listed from most to least in importance of being completed today. To be able to play on the computers, you must have completed all of the activities below. The Density Simulation is for enrichment only. You do not have to complete this task. 1. Find good definitions for all of your Academic Vocabulary words and write them in the "Textbook Definition" box ONLY of your vocabulary sheets. Look up definitions for all the words. Once completed, bring your binder to Mr. Neddo and he will stamp your vocab as complete. This has to be completed today. You will receive a stamp on your vocab sheets to show that you have completed your work. 2 Complete your worksheet 9-Properties of Matter and correct it using the key below. Turn your completed assignment to Mr. Neddo. 3. Read through the notes and watch the videos below on how to calculate density. Complete worksheet 10-Measuring Density. Turn in your completed assignment to Mr. Neddo.
