Sample Paper
This is going to be a very fun project for and you will learn a lot about the concept of two dimensional motion. Make sure that you focus on the reason WHY we the class chose the project and not about how FUN it is to build war machinery. The reason for the catapult is to be able to collect DATA and that is it. Stay FOCUSED on the real prize.
The teachers at A Plus Physics have created a wonderful project for us and I have modified the rubric to serve our classes requirements. Click on the link to A Plus Physics and they have a wealth of information for you there. Have FUN!!! A + Physics Follow the link to A Plus Physics for the requirements of our last project. We will be following the ponts requirements on that page. Your last project will be worth 100 points. Use the links to the lab report website for guidance on how your final report should look. You may work in groups of 2-3 students, but every student MUST turn in their own lab reports! It is very important that you understand that the majority of your score is based upon a proper lab paper. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO WORK ON YOUR PAPER!!!! Our class day to work on this project will be Tuesday, April 30th and the project is due May 14th. Good luck and have fun! After having experimented with your catapult and aquireing the data, you will now develop a paper showing all of your work. The criteria and rubrics are listed below. Pictures of your project will be available by 10/26/12.
Here is a link to the Khan Academy and some of his videos that should be of use to you in your work with projectile motion. |
